It guides all the body functions which include, body temperature regulation, moistening the air we breathe besides assisting body organs assimilate nutrients as well as get rid of toxic substances. It is a main component in all cell functions. A good number of people never replace the water they lose on daily basis due to the lack of knowledge on the need to do so. Make it a habit to ensure you and your kids take a full glass of water every morning. As the day progresses, ensure you take one or two glasses before any meal and at least two glasses before going to bed. Form a habit of taking water anytime you want to eat something be it a full meal or just a snack. Work hard to reach a minimum of eight glasses per day.
Make sure there are sufficient fruits and vegetables in your house so that your children can have enough any time they want. During meals and snack time, ensure the kids have enough of these. Teach them the need to take fruits and vegetables as part of their meals. The best way to teach them is for you to always do so. On that note, it’s advisable to teach our children on the importance of washing off all fruits and vegetables prior to consumption as well as make them aware of the poisonous substances used on a host of crops that we come into contact with when in the market. Let them know the benefits of organic foods as these do not expose our bodies to toxic substances that affect the normal functions of our body systems. If this is done, it will go a long way in ensuring the safety of our kids as far as their health is concerned.
